About Our Study

We are seeking people with experience developing software. This includes anyone who regularly make significant contributions to a codebase either through their primary employment or by contributions to open source projects. This survey should take about 15 minutes to complete.

Through this survey, our goal is to develop a short list of questions that can be used to effectively measure software development self-efficacy. With these questions, we will be able to better compare different developer training and tools. This will allow us to create improved training and tools that provide measurable improvements for developers.

We will protect the privacy of any information shared in the surveys. Participants may choose to stop answer questions at any point during the survey. All gathered data will be encrypted and securely stored without any personally identifiable information.

You are eligible for this study if:

  • You are over 18 years of age
  • You must perform software development as part of your employment or regularly contribute to open source projects.
  • You must not have previously completed this survey (i.e., you can only complete the survey once)
